Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Gloves

Cleaning Solution

• CaviCide Spray
• CaviCide Wipes

Cleaning Conditions

• Dirty utility room door must be closed during this process due to infection control purposes

Cleaning Procedures

1. Spray down all equipment with CaviCide. Equipment should remain visibly wet for 3 minutes. Wipe down all excess liquid with CaviWipes. Equipment should be cleaned from the top down. Arms of the Alaris’ system are to be detached from the brain, door opened, and that area wiped down as well
2. Wipe down all hoses and cords. They will be neatly coiled up and contained with the piece of equipment. Caution: Do not wrap the cord too tight, they will break
3. Place clean equipment in clear bags to indicate that equipment has been cleaned by Agiliti Personnel
4. Place all clean and dry equipment on a cart and store in designated areas whether that be PAR levels on the units or inventory in the Agiliti Office
5. Ensure Alaris controls, SCDs, and feeding pumps are plugged in at all times
